Hello!

I am an art psychotherapist and printmaker based in Mid-Ulster, Northern Ireland.

After graduating from my degree in Fine and Applied Arts specialising in printmaking in 2012, I joined a local printmaking studio. My aim was to continue and develop my skills as well as experience in the art world. This led to me taking part in various creative projects and exhibiting nationally and internationally.

With my commitment to grow as an artist and hunger to learn, I became studio manager. Being in charge of a studio space and looking after over 70 members, I gained management skills, as well as my growing my knowledge as a printmaker.

In 2018 I started up my business, offering creative workshops to encourage positive well-being and social interaction among participants.  Each workshop or project is tailored to each customers needs and desires.

I have 7 years experience working in secondary schools across the country, providing intense printmaking workshops. In these workshops cater for a wide range of needs and abilities, from beginners to intermediate level, with the main purpose to introduce and inspire students to explore printmaking before moving forward to art college.

My art workshops are suited for everyone. Classes focus on the creative art technique and learning a new skill while enjoying time out of your usual day-day schedule.

I have hosted workshops for a number of charities and organisations:

  • PEACE IV

  • Assist Youth

  • Action Mental Health

  • Cedar Foundation

  • Positive Futures

  • British Heart & Stroke Foundation

  • Men's Shed

  • Alzheimer Society

  • Internationals Women's Group

  • Stoke Support

  • Yalla

  • Youth Clubs

  • Various community groups

With the power of creating art and building trusting relationships, this meant regular participants to my workshops began to open up more often.  I found myself in situations where I didn’t know what to say, how much support I could give and knowing that people needed a professional person, with the right qualifications to get the support they were seeking.

I knew I could be that person and when a Masters in Art Psychotherapy came up in the Art College I knew it was the right fit.

As well as focusing on my career as an art psychotherapist and an arts facilitator, I continue to create art inspired by my own experiences and how I view the world.

I have been lucky to exhibit my work in a number of solo shows as well as group exhibitions. In 2019 I hosted 3 solo exhibitions, each different from the other.  I started off with "Skyline" looking at the gorgeous skies & capturing the atmosphere.  My second exhibition "Wavelength" featured some of my most favourite pieces of the ocean.  I began to create patterns with the waves, giving me inspiration for my third exhibition, "Curved Solstice". This exhibition reflecting on my experiences with the sky, land and water.

At the beginning of 2022, I held my latest exhibition in a local gallery, focusing on places visited during various staycations over the past 2 years.
